Netcentrix is on a journey to become a sustainable business. Our commitment to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles goes beyond just talk.
We’re taking concrete steps to protect our planet, care for our people, and support the communities in which we work and live, to create a better future for all. Our Group goal is to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. Watch our video to learn how we’re turning this ambition into reality.
We’re excited to share that Netcentrix has signed the Microsoft Partner Pledge, a commitment to harnessing digital innovation for good.
This commitment reflects our dedication to driving positive social and environmental impact within our business and the wider community. By harnessing the power of digital innovation, we aim to cultivate tech talent, promote diversity and inclusion, and contribute to a sustainable world. Learn more about our commitment to the Microsoft Partner Pledge here.
We support our teams to grow through professional development, including training programs, mentorship opportunities, and career advancement pathways.
Beyond work, we prioritise employee well-being by offering flexible work arrangements, mental health resources, and opportunities for community engagement. By fostering a positive and empowering culture, we aim to attract and retain top talent while making a positive impact on our community.
Weโre committed to protecting our planet for generations to come. Our sustainability efforts include adopting more eco-friendly vehicles, investing in renewable energy sources for our buildings, and implementing robust recycling and waste reduction programs across all our sites.
We’re committed to reducing our energy consumption. To achieve this, we’ve upgraded to energy-efficient LED lighting throughout our offices, invested in electric vehicle charging stations at our Chorley Office, and are transitioning our car fleet to hybrid vehicles as leases expire.
We’re committed to reducing waste and promoting recycling. Our comprehensive waste management program includes providing designated recycling bins and partnering with Biffa to improve biodiversity and minimise our environmental impact.
Our employees have the opportunity to make a difference by volunteering their time to support environmental causes in our community. We encourage participation in initiatives like litter picks, tree planting, and conservation projects.
We’re working towards ISO 14001 certification to demonstrate our commitment to environmental sustainability and responsible business. By achieving this globally recognised standard, we’ll minimise our environmental impact, comply with regulations, and continuously improve our practices.
Our commitment to social responsibility drives us to give back to the communities where we live and work. Here are some of our recent initiatives:
We prioritise diversity and inclusion, fostering a workplace where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential. We measure our progress towards these goals and actively communicate with our people to create a more inclusive environment.
Our Macmillan Coffee Mornings are always a success, with talented bakers and shop bought treats shared, raising vital funds for this amazing charity.
We regularly support local events and charities in Chorley and Wrexham, reflecting our commitment to giving back to the communities where we work and live. From volunteering time, making donations, and helping with food bank collections, our employees enjoy getting involved to make a difference.
Our comprehensive health and safety policies are regularly reviewed and communicated throughout the business. We support our staff through employee wellness initiatives, flexible working arrangements, and access to mental health resources. Our goal is to create a workplace where everyone feels valued, safe, and empowered to succeed.
At Netcentrix, we are committed to conducting business with integrity and the highest ethical standards:
Our Integrated Management System (IMS) demonstrates our commitment to excellence. Since achieving ISO 9001 certification in 2015, we’ve added ISO 27001, ISO 22301, and ISO 45001, ensuring quality, security, and employee safety. We’re now working towards ISO 14001 and Cyber Essentials certification to further strengthen our sustainability and cybersecurity focus.
Building strong relationships with our suppliers is crucial to achieving our ESG goals. We carefully select partners who share our commitment to sustainability. By assessing their ESG strategies and ensuring alignment with our values, we work collaboratively to drive positive environmental and social impact throughout our supply chain.
Our ESG committee is dedicated to continuous improvement. Through regular meetings and open dialogue, we gather feedback, learn from our experiences, and refine our strategies to ensure that ESG remains a core focus of our business.
Our diverse board of directors plays a crucial role in overseeing our ESG practices, ensuring a balanced perspective and strong leadership on sustainability issues. By fostering open dialogue with investors, employees, and customers, we strive to build trust and accountability.
We're fostering strong partnerships with suppliers to drive shared sustainability and ESG goals:
We partner with Microsoft for their commitment to sustainability. They aim to be carbon negative by 2030 and match 100% of their electricity usage with zero carbon energy. Microsoft also empowers users with tools like the Environmental Sustainability Dashboard to track their environmental footprint, promoting a strong focus on reducing carbon impact across their operations.
We partner with Tech Data for their dedication to environmental responsibility. They focus on reducing their carbon footprint, setting emission reduction targets, and supporting vendors in sustainability efforts. Tech Data emphasises asset recycling and responsible disposal, promoting sustainable practices within the tech industry.
We partner with Ingram Micro for their leadership in IT asset disposition (ITAD). They manage the product lifecycle, from returns and refurbishment to remarketing and recycling. Ingram Micro also conducts assessments every three years to review energy use, emissions, waste, and material consumption, ensuring ongoing sustainability improvements.
We partner with Cisco for their commitment to sustainable growth, focusing on reducing GHG emissions and increasing renewable energy. Cisco promotes a Circular Economy, offers Takeback & Reuse policies, and supports remote working.
