Is Your Business in Danger if You Haven’t Switched to Windows 11?

Microsoft Windows 10 has been successfully serving home users and businesses since its launch back in 2015. But with support for the operating system set to end soon, users who have yet to update to the current version of Windows 11 are putting themselves – and their data – at serious risk.
If you’re still running Windows 10 company-wide, you’ll need a mass migration to Windows 11. This can be intensive, technically challenging, and time-consuming, especially if you have a robust technology stack with many desktop PCs and laptops.
Thankfully, help is at hand.
As certified Microsoft Partners, Netcentrix is here to offer all the knowledge and support you need to ensure a quick and pain-free move, so you can enjoy more reliable, streamlined computing and keep company and customer data safe from security threats.

End of Support for Windows 10 is Coming… What Can You Do?
With 53% of overall Windows users still reliant on Windows 10, according to recent data, it’s safe to say that many businesses will be among this statistic.
Updating to a new operating system might not be on many people’s to-do list, especially if they’re happy with the computing experiences they’ve had over the past few years, or still have a perfectly good computer. But the “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” mindset can be dangerous in this instance.
Once Microsoft finally ends its support for Windows 10, technical support, regular feature updates, and security fixes will all cease immediately.
From a security standpoint, this is the equivalent of opening Pandora’s Box, with any users or businesses still working on Windows 10 inviting cyber attacks – and other issues – to cause havoc. More on this in a moment.
So even if you’re satisfied with Windows 10 as a product, it doesn’t matter. For the benefit of your business, your staff, your customers, and your future, upgrading to a newer, more trustworthy operating system with new features and extended support is an operational necessity – even if this means investing in new PCs, as very old hardware may not be able to support the latest version.

Windows 10 End of Support Dates
Microsoft will end support for Windows 10 on October 14th, 2025.
The OS will continue to work after this date, but will no longer be backed by Microsoft’s included security features, which play a key role in deterring cybercriminals and malware. Once support ends, it’s expected that we’ll see a spike in cyber attacks and successful breaches as criminals take advantage of the new vulnerabilities.
What are the Dangers of Not Switching to Windows 11?
If you don’t perform a Windows update before the above end date, here are just some of the consequences you’ll be exposed to:
Cyber Security Vulnerabilities
- No more monthly security update releases
- Increased risk of cyber attacks, data breaches and viruses
- Compromised networks
Legal and Compliance Risks
- Businesses have a legal requirement to update Windows software
- Could face fines and legal penalties
- Loss of business
- Reputational damage
Raised Operational Costs
- Higher IT support costs due to more frequent problems
- Forced hardware upgrades
Reduced Productivity
