Technical Solutions Consultant

About the role

Location: Chorley, North West 3 Days, Home-based 2 Days
12-month fixed term position | £45K + Car Allowance + Benefits

This role sits within our Project Delivery Team and plays a pivotal part in shaping the customer experience at Netcentrix. As a Technical Solutions Consultant, you will be central to our audit and pre-sales function, whilst also providing hands-on delivery and expert consultancy across a wide range of projects.

You’ll be customer-facing, acting as a trusted advisor to stakeholders and IT leaders. From conducting audits and uncovering opportunities, to designing solutions and supporting their delivery, you’ll be directly influencing how our customers modernise, secure, and optimise their IT environments.

This is an opportunity to join a growing Managed Services Provider where your expertise will be valued, your ideas will be heard, and your career can develop.

The role is a 12-month fixed term position initially with the opportunity to move to a permanent role, in line with business growth.

What We Offer

  • A chance to work on diverse and challenging projects across modern IT technologies.
  • A collaborative and supportive culture where technical expertise are valued and developed.
  • A temp-to-perm career pathway with clear opportunities for professional growth and certification.
  • Exposure to a wide range of customers and industries, building your consultancy and technical skills.

A Day in the Life

A Technical Solutions Consultant at Netcentrix typically balances three key areas: customer engagement, solution design, and project collaboration.

  • Prepare for and attend customer discovery sessions or audits. This may involve visiting client sites or conducting virtual workshops to assess IT environments, gather requirements, and understand business goals.
  • Translate findings into solution outlines and recommendations. Work with account managers and pre-sales colleagues to scope opportunities and feed into proposals.
  • Collaborate with the Professional Services team on active projects, providing technical consultancy and supporting delivery. You may assist in migrations, configurations, or reviews to ensure quality outcomes.
  • Document customer environments, update audit reports, and share insights with colleagues. Time may also be set aside for training, certifications, or staying current with emerging technologies.

Each day is varied but this structured approach ensures customer-focus, contributing to both immediate project success and long-term customer relationships.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and positively influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
